New York

New York is one of the most amazing cities that I have ever visited. I absolutely love the architecture, the constant hum, the sea of yellow cabs and all the different people that comprise this great city. New York City is usually a 4.5 hours drive from Boston. The Chrysler Building (left) is one of the magnificant buildings in New York. It was built between 1928-1930 by Van Alen from Brooklyn, NY. The Chrysler Building is often praised as the greatest example of Art Deco style skyscrapers. In my opinion, the Flat Iron Building situated on the corners of 23rd, Broadway and 5th Ave is the symbol of New York City. Most movies and TV programs set in New York City - at some point during the program, show this unique building. Built in 1902 by Daniel Burnham - it is now considered the oldest remaining skyscraper in the city. Each trip to New York City inevitably makes at least one turn past this remarkable building.
